Located
on the southeastern end of Korea, Nam-gu is a gateway
between the continent and the sea, and is also an
international harbor city, which is geographically
important.

Regional Features

Being in
the southeast of Busan Metropolitan City, Nam-gu
(Oryukdo) divides the coast of the east sea from
that of the south sea.

As a result of developing
large apartments, Nam-gu now has an agreeable residential
area. Nam-gu’s famous attractions, like Oryukdo,
Igidae Park and Sinsundae Park, are used as a resting
place for residents.

Boasting 6 universities
and 55 educational facilities, Nam-gu is an educational
center of Busan. In addition, the Busan Cultural
Center, the City Museum and the world’s one and
only UN Park make Nam-gu a cultural center of Busan.
Nam-gu also has a large harbor industry section
with container piers (Sinsundae, Wooam. Gamman).
