Introduction

Busan Cultural Center is located in Daeyeondong, Nam-gu, dedicated to the role of fulfilling various cultural and artistic needs of its citizens while creating a unique culture of Busan.
As the most comprehensive cultural theatre in Busan, the Cultural Center is equipped with a 1,423-seat grand theater, a 781-seat medium-sized theater, a 249-seat small-sized theater, several differently sized exhibition halls, an international conference room, a guesthouse and parking spaces built over 14,000 pyeong and has been hosting performances in music, dance, stage acts and opera since its foundation in 1988.

In particular, its architectural theme of being a Korean traditional house is applied throughout the center. With thorough restoration of the traditional eaves and its protruding corners, the grand auditorium as a main building of the house, and middle and small auditorium as traditional guesthouses are presented with a stately and elegant appearance.

The Cultural Center provides high quality cultural experiences to citizens as well as culture and arts professionals, through a variety of music, dance, stage acts and opera performances. Moreover, providing that there is any form of performance in the grand and/or middle auditorium, a childcare center is operated for free while the parents see the show.
