Nam-gu Symbol Mark

- The shape of Nam-gu's symbol mark indicates Oryukdo, the icon of Nam-gu, while the combined circles represent each island. The meanings of colors showing from the left are; orange for sun, sky blue for sky, blue for sea, green for earth and yellow for a golden wave which represent passion (the sun), vision (Sky), challenging spirit (sea), blessed nature (earth) and abundance (golden wave), respectively.

- Change More - Namgu
‘Change More-Nam-gu’ indicates a meaning of a brand new change accomplished by all citizens, by encouraging 'out-of-the-box' thinking and vigorously marching towards the future. The design, consisting of unique typography design, expresses the creation of new ideas from 'an Idea Pocket' and a vibrant image of Nam-gu through positive changes.
Nam-gu Character (Huimangi(Hope) & Balgeumi(Brightness))

- Huimangi & Balgeumi are couple characters of personified light and Magnolia, a symbolic flower Nam-gu. A yellowish orange color with a look of magnolias in full bloom represents the friendliness and kind image of Nam-gu.

Pure and gorgeous Magnolia flowers, originating in Jeju Island, symbolize a love of nature and blossoming in early spring. It represents the prosperity of Nam-gu.

A symbol of disease-free longevity (average lifespan of 500 years), Ginkgo trees imply Nam-gu citizens’ strong spirit.

Domestic pigeons, a bird native to our region, are well-known for faithful monogamy and an indication of peace. They deliver a harmonious and peaceful image of Nam-gu.
