Fireflies are an indicator of clean environment, and one of the most famous sightings of fireflies blinking in unison occurs annually in Igidae Park in Korea. During this period, an event of fireflies’ observation is held in Igidae Parke, while activities of green living and contests of writing and drawing about love for environment are situated in the park at the same time. This event underscores the importance of natural environment by providing an opportunity for ecology learning experiences to youth and nostalgic memories for adults.
