Namgu

Kyungsung University Bird Museum started as a laboratory unit in the university 1987, and became established as the bird museum in 1997. Since inauguration, this bird museum has been recognized as one of the best bird museums in Korea while the number of accumulated visitors has exceeded over half a million.

The museum possesses a large number of ecological materials and valuable specimens including 280 species of 1,500 Korean wild birds, 60 eggs and bird nests. In particular, the museum also exhibits rare specimens that are difficult to see elsewhere such as Relict Gulls, Red Turtle Doves and Red Phalarope, just to name a few.
